Popular headache medicine recalled due to safety issue
You'll want to check your medicine cabinet for this one
(KLKN) – The makers of Excedrin have announced a recall of more than 400,000 bottles of the popular medication due to a safety issue.
Here is what is impacted according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission: 50, 80, 100, 125, 200, 250, and 300-count bottles of Excedrin Migraine Caplets, Excedrin Migraine Geltabs, Excedrin Extra Strength Caplets,
Excedrin PM Headache Caplets, and Excedrin Tension Headache Caplets.
The bottles are plastic with a child-resistant closure.
The safety issue mentioned would be a hole in the bottom of the container that could make them easy for a child to access the medication.
If you do have a hole in your container, call GSK Consumer Relations at 800-468-7746 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or go to their website for additional information.
