Popular McCook restaurant closing its doors after 23 years due to economic climate

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A popular southwest Nebraska restaurant is closing its doors effective immediately.
Taste of Texas BBQ in McCook announced the closure on social media Monday, saying it was struggling to make ends meet in the current economic climate.
“With the rising cost of product, inflation, and the increasing minimum wage, we are unable to keep the doors open,” the restaurant said on Facebook.
The restaurant is family owned and operated and has been serving BBQ since 2002.
Taste of Texas said it has “enjoyed serving this wonderful community” and is “extremely broken hearted.”
