Portion of Haymarket shut down due to hit gas line

A portion of the Haymarket is shut down while emergency crews respond to a hazmat situation.
Construction crews hit a gas line near 8th and N streets around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue evacuated nearby buildings and shut down several blocks as a safety precaution.
Black Hills Energy is on the scene working to shut off the gas line.
LFR expects the area to reopen before noon.
