UPDATE: Pioneers Boulevard repair date moved

The portion between Nebraska Highway 2 and U.S. Highway 77 will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15th.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Originally scheduled for Feb. 8th, a portion of Pioneers Boulevard will now be closed on Feb. 15th.

The portion between Nebraska Highway 2 and U.S. Highway 77 will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday the 15th.

No traffic will be allowed in the area while work is being done.  Travelers are encouraged to use the suggested route or seek an alternate route and exercise caution around the work zone.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway will need to raise the tracks to repair them.

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities, the Railroad Transportation Safety District, and BNSF will coordinate the work to improve the safety and reliability of the crossing.
