Portions of several Lincoln streets to close starting Tuesday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department on Thursday announced several street closures.
On Tuesday, Adams Street from 46th to 48th streets will close for a street improvement project. It’s expected to be completed by mid-August.
Southbound Interstate 180 from Cornhusker Highway to R Street will reduce to one lane on Tuesday.
The project involves work to extend the median, prohibiting turns into a new private development. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of June.
On Wednesday, 40th Street from South to Randolph streets — and A Street from 33rd to 48th streets — will close for a water main replacement project.
Work on A Street is scheduled to be done by the end of June, while the work on 40th Street is expected to be finished by mid-August.
“LTU appreciates the public’s patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances,” the department said in a press release.
