Portions of two Lincoln streets to close in coming week

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department on Friday announced that portions of two streets will be closing next week.

On Monday, South Street between 55th and 56th streets will close for Lincoln Electric System pole replacements. The work is scheduled to be completed by Thursday.

Also on Monday, both northbound lanes of 48th Street between Leighton and Walker avenues will close for a construction project at a private business. This work is scheduled to be done by Friday.

Access to homes and businesses in both of these areas will be maintained.
