Potentially contaminated sausage shipped to Nebraska retailers
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — About 42,000 pounds of Johnsonville smoked sausage links are being recalled, as they may contain thin strands of plastic fibers.
The affected product is the Beddar with Cheddar sausage with a best-by date of July 11.
The item was shipped to stores in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Texas.
So far there haven’t been any confirmed reports of adverse reactions, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The agency says the sausages should be thrown away or returned to the place you bought them.
