Power pole breaks in two in crash at Lincoln intersection

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A power pole was damaged Monday evening in a crash at a busy Lincoln intersection.

A four-vehicle collision was reported about 7:30 p.m. at 40th and South streets, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Video uploaded to the NOW Local News App shows a power pole broken in two pieces, with the top part hanging in the air.

The Lincoln Electric System is working to repair the pole, according to LPD.

Police said there are no reports of injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the intersection is closed in all directions.
