Power restored after outage in south Lincoln, LES says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Electric System says power was restored Thursday after an outage in south Lincoln.

Around 11:50 a.m., around 1,100 LES customers lost power in the area near 27th Street and Pine Lake Road.

A user of the NOW Local News App shared a video showing traffic lights out near Southpointe Pavillions.

Less than an hour later, LES said all customers had had their power restored.

The outage was caused by a failed underground feeder cable, LES said.
