Pregnant woman hospitalized after crash in northwest Lancaster County, authorities say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A pregnant woman was hospitalized Saturday after a two-vehicle crash in northwest Lancaster County.
Just after 4:30 p.m., several first responders were sent to the area of Northwest 56th Street and Raymond Road, just east of Branched Oak Lake.
According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, a pregnant woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported due to the crash.
The sheriff’s office said a westbound vehicle failed to yield when turning onto NW 56th Street, crashing into a southbound vehicle.
In a video sent to our NOW Local News App by a Channel 8 reporter, you can see the road blocked off in both directions.
According to authorities, 56th Street will be closed in both directions for at least another hour while the crash is being investigated.
