Pro-Palestine rally at Nebraska Capitol attracts large turnout
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A demonstration outside of the Nebraska Capitol attracted a large turnout on Saturday.
About 100 people gathered to call for a cease-fire as casualties rise during the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The sentiment was that they couldn’t stand by as innocent Palestinians, including children, are killed every day.
“Our main message is our politicians pretend to be pro-life but we’re paying to kill 150 children every day,” said Rhonda Brubacher with Nebraskans for Peace. “There has to be a cease-fire, they talk about a little bit of aid getting in – it’s nothing.”
This has been one of many protests held across the country, including one in Washington D.C. on the same day.
