Quiet on Monday; Warmer and breezier for the rest of the week
While scattered showers and storms rolled through on Sunday night, rain has pushed out of the area as of Monday morning. That will set us up for a mostly sunny start.
Temperatures will be very mild close to and east of Lincoln early Monday, with temperatures in the 50s. It will be a little bit cooler for our western communities, with a mix of 30s and 40s. Either way, everyone gets warm during the afternoon. We’re forecasting highs in the middle and upper-70s across the area.
There won’t be much wind either on Monday. However, that will change in the coming days. A southerly breeze picks up on Tuesday, and it’ll likely get windier on Wednesday and Thursday.
The southerly wind will also allow temperatures to warm. We’re going to see several days in the 80s this week.
We’ll be watching some pattern changes by late week. Showers and storms become possible on Friday, and temperatures will begin to fall with the arrival of this storm system. There could be some lingering showers into Saturday, and it does appear to be cooler overall this upcoming weekend.
