Rain chances taper off into early next week
Favorable rainfall was noted west in and around the Tri-Cities from totals measured since midnight Friday and through the early afternoon of Saturday. Some near Kearney and Blue Hill observed a good 2-3″ of rain. Here in Lincoln, totals ranged from about 0.4-0.7″ during that same timeframe.
Rain chances throughout the rest of the weekend really taper off. Not much more measurable rainfall is expected into early next week. What spotty showers and isolated thunderstorms happen on Sunday will mainly be north of I-80.
With a bit more sun poking through at times Sunday, we’ll start to warm again after a nice change of pace on Saturday. Some morning fog will be possible too across eastern Nebraska before clearing to partly sunny and mostly cloudy skies.
Sunday will start a very drawn-out warming trend that lasts the entirety of next week. By the end, we’ll be closer to normal highs at this time of the year around 90°.
That should make for a couple of great evenings, though, at the Pinewood Bowl Theater both Tuesday and Wednesday!
