Rain returns to southeast Nebraska
It is a foggy start to the work week Monday morning. The visibility has dropped to less than 1-miles in areas along I-80 and to the north. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m.
Skies will turn partly to mostly cloudy today once the fog lifts. Temperatures will climb in to the upper 70°s to 80° for the afternoon. It should remain dry for most in southeast Nebraska Monday afternoon and evening.
There will be a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms over western Nebraska Monday evening. Some of the thunderstorms that develop could be strong to severe.
Storms that develop in western Nebraska will push east Monday night in to Tuesday morning. This will bring rain back to eastern Nebraska by sunrise Tuesday.
The rain will quickly move out of the area Tuesday morning. Skies will brighten for much of the day before thunderstorms redevelop Tuesday evening.
