Recall Alert: mini helium tanks, power banks and children’s cups
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Worthington Industries is recalling over 121,000 of its Balloon Time mini helium tanks. The company says compressed helium from the tank can escape and cause the plastic cap to be released into the air unexpectedly, posing an injury hazard due to projectiles striking users and those nearby.
If you have the recalled product, register online and upload a photo. Once you receive your refund, you can throw away the product.
Lenovo is recalling over 2,800 of its USB-C laptop power banks. The power bank’s internal screws can come loose, causing a short circuit and overheating of the lithium-ion battery, posing a fire hazard.
Do not put lithium-ion batteries in the trash or battery recycling boxes, they can cause fires and explosions if they are damaged or crushed.
If you have the recalled product, contact Lenovo for a free replacement as well as instructions for properly throwing away lithium-ion batteries.
