Record breaking heat today with cooler Friday temperatures 12/2/2021

Nebraska is mild this morning with temperatures in the 40s and 50s for the second day of December. Skies are currently clear and wind speeds are light, resulting in a small wind chill this morning. You might want a light jacket this morning, but later today will be another one of those well above average days that makes you question what month it is. Highs will warm into the low to mid-70s across the area with widespread sunshine. The wind will also be out of the south by the afternoon, and this will aid our warming by bringing in warmer air. We stay quiet and mild tonight with overnight lows in the 40s. A cold front brings in cooler air for your Friday though as it pushes through in the morning. Highs will only warm into the upper 50s tomorrow, which technically is still above average for December. We continue to cool into Saturday as highs return closer to average in the mid to upper 40s, before the 50s return for Sunday. The weekend looks dry with breezy conditions on Sunday. As for next week, temperature appear to hover around the upper 40s and low 50s with two small chance for showers.
