Record-setting heat is likely on Saturday before high temperatures crash to the 60s by Sunday afternoon. Plenty of sunshine and breezy through the weekend in southeast Nebraska.

The risk for fire weather increases during the day on Saturday. The entirety of the state is under a Red Flag Warning from late Saturday morning until early Sunday morning. Very warm temperatures, strong winds, low humidity and a persistent drought for much of the state will contribute to the fire weather risk.

We should see mostly clear skies tonight in Lincoln, with a light southwesterly breeze.

High temperatures on Saturday should belong in July, but will arrive in late March. Winds out of the south-southwest will gust up to 25 miles per hour.
