Red Robin in Lincoln evacuated due to smoke
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A south Lincoln restaurant was evacuated Thursday evening after smoke filled the building.
About 7:30 p.m., Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to Red Robin at 27th Street and Pine Lake Road.
There was smoke and an electrical smell inside, according to LFR.
Crews determined that the smoke was coming from a burnt motor in a walk-in cooler.
LFR said it took a while to find the source.
A user of the NOW Local News App uploaded a video showing firefighters getting down from the roof.
No injuries were reported, and the amount of damage is unclear.
The restaurant closed early for the night but is expected to reopen Friday.
