Registration for Lincoln Parks and Recreation’s preschool programs open in March

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Registration opens next month for preschool programs provided by Lincoln Parks and Recreation, the city announced Wednesday.
Families can begin registering online at 9 a.m. on March 3. The city said a $50 non-refundable registration fee is required and space is limited.
There are two programs available this year: Little Sprouts Preschool at the Calvert Recreation Center and Nature Center Preschool at the Pioneers Park Nature Center.
Little Sprouts Preschool, a half-day program for children ages 3 to 5, will learn about “nature and the world around them,” according to the city.
Nature Center Preschool, which also has openings for children ages 3 to 5, features outdoor activities, like hiking, climbing and digging.
Parks and Rec’s half-day preschool programs have been recognized by Nebraska Step Up to Quality for their “commitment to quality childcare and education,” the city said.
More information can be found on the city’s website.
