Registration open for 2019 Good Life Halfsy

Registration is open for the 2019 Good Life Halfsy, the half marathon run past the most scenic spots in Lincoln.

Last year, the race drew participants from all 50 states, with all 6,500 spots sold out.  Runners go past spots like Holmes Lake, Sunken Gardens, Memorial Stadium, and the Lincoln Bridge.

Organizers expect all spots to sell out again this year.  Ben Cohoon, one of the coordinators for the Good Life Halfsy, says this race is for anyone, whether you’re an experienced runner or just a beginner.

“If you’ve never ran before and you have a half marathon on your bucket list, the Good Life Halfsy is the race for you,” Cohoon said.

The Lincoln Running Company and Fleet Feet Lincoln both have beginner training programs during the summer that can help you start your half marathon journey.

Then, Good Life Halfsy itself offers a 12 week program leading up to the race to get you ready to conquer all 13.1 miles.

You can check out the training program here, and register for the Good Life Halfsy here.

The Good Life Halfsy Facebook page is also running a promotion until the evening of Wednesday, April 17.

If you’ve registered, use their profile picture frame letting everyone know, and comment on their Facebook page post to win your registration fee back.
