Report: Former Husker Bryce McGowens is headed to New Orleans

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Former Husker basketball player Bryce McGowens has signed a two-way deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, per ESPN senior NBA insider Shams Charania.
Free agent guard Bryce McGowens has agreed on a two-way NBA deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, Kyle McAlarney and Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. The 2022 second-rounder enters his fourth NBA season.

McGowens enters his fourth season in the NBA after two years with Charlotte and one in Portland.

The former Husker has been a force in the NBA G-League, where he averaged 29.3 points last season and 21.3 points the year before.
McGowens broke the Rip City Remix single-game scoring record with a 46-point performance back on Jan. 1.

At Nebraska, the guard averaged 16.8 points per game.
New Orleans finished last season 21-61.
