Rules and restrictions at Lincoln’s Uncle Sam Jam
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln’s biggest party of the summer is underway, with Uncle Sam Jam kicking off at 4 p.m. Monday.
But there are some restrictions and bans in place that you’ll want to familiarize yourself with, so you don’t miss out on any of the fun.
First, leave your fireworks at home. They’re prohibited in all city parks at all times.
Alcohol and tobacco aren’t welcome, either. That includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chew and dip, and vaping products.
Personal watercraft will not be allowed on the lake. And all pets are required to wear a leash in the park.
Attendees are encouraged to take their furry family members home before the fireworks display, as loud noises are known to scare them.
