RFK Jr. to appear as presidential candidate on Nebraska’s general election ballot
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is getting his name on Nebraska’s 2024 general election ballot, officials announced Friday.
The Nebraska Secretary of State’s Office has certified RFK’s nonpartisan presidential candidate petition, which garnered over 5,000 signatures.
The campaign needed valid signatures from at least 2,500 registered Nebraska voters.
Last week, the Nebraska Democratic Party filed an objection with the secretary of state to bar RFK from the ballot.
But the Nebraska Secretary of State’s Office found that the “matters raised did not require that Kennedy be kept off the ballot.”
Officials said RFK will be on the state’s general election ballot, barring any legal challenges.
