Ricketts tells Beatrice crowd that the border is ‘most pressing national issue’

BEATRICE, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Sen. Pete Ricketts visited Plattsmouth, Nebraska City and Beatrice on Monday to talk about immigration.

Ricketts and his team ended the day in Beatrice at the 402 Sports Bar and Grill.

The senator said the border crisis is “currently the most pressing national issue.”

He told the crowd that securing the southern border starts with a change of administration.

Ricketts said changing the policy regarding immigration would have far more impact than building a wall.

He has been regularly touring Nebraska, hosting meet-and-greets to speak to voters about his major areas of concern.
