Robbery victim pistol whipped in front of home

Lincoln Police are investigating a robbery and assault at the trailer homes near N. 35 St. & Cornhusker Highway.

The call came in around 5:15 Tuesday morning.

Police said the victim was pistol whipped and robbed inside the bedroom of his mobile home. He said the suspect, who police said was wearing a surgical mask, demanded belongings and fired a gun into the wall.

Police found one shell casing.

Another resident of the home said the suspect pointed the gun at him and told him to lay on the ground, police said.

A third said she heard what sounded like the suspect banging on the door of the mobile home before coming inside, demanding items and then firing the weapon.

Police said the victim who was inside the bedroom described the suspect as a 5’10 male, weighing about 200 pounds with “pasty white” skin and freckles.
