Roca Berry Farm collecting food, clothing donations

Before you go out to Roca Berry Farm this month, take a minute and check your pantry and your closets.

The farm is collecting canned food donations for the Food Bank of Lincoln and warm clothing donations for Bubba’s Closet which helps LPS students in need.

This is the second year Roca Berry Farm has collected these items and the owners say they’re needed now more than ever.

“With the rain we’ve had this fall I’m thinking we may have a really cold winter so these poor kids that don’t have a good jacket would love to have a snuggly coat to wrap up in,” Beverly Shaefer, owner of Roca Berry Farms said.

They have donation bins set up in the harvest barn, that’s where you go to pay for your pumpkins.

They’re collecting them until they close for the season on October 31st.
