Speed, alcohol a factor in Thursday morning crash

Lincoln Police have cited the driver in a rollover accident with a D.U.I.
20-year-old Benjamin Grable had a blood alcohol content level of .195 when police tested it after the crash near 70th and Hwy 2 Thursday morning, Officer Angela Sands said.
Grable also wasn’t wearing a seat belt. He had to be extricated from his Ford Taurus, but wasn’t seriously injured. Sands said he went to the hospital as a precaution.
Sands said officers found an open whiskey bottle in the car.
Grable was cited with a D.U.I, M.I.P., negligent driving, open container and no seat belt.

A rollover accident in east Lincoln sent one person to the hospital early this morning.
Lincoln Police say a silver Ford Taurus rolled near 70th and HWY 2, a little before 1:30 a.m.
Authorities say no other cars were involved in the accident.
The driver did have to be extricated from the car.
The victim was then taken to Bryan East, the severity of their injuries is unknown.
The area was temporarily closed, but has since reopened.
