Rollover crash in Richardson County leaves four in serious condition

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle rollover crash that happened east of Falls City.
Sheriffs received information of a crash with injuries on U.S. Highway 159 at 10 p.m. on Thursday.
Mason Wurtele, 20, was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang eastbound on Highway 159 when he departed the south edge of the road, according to Sheriffs.
Law enforcement said Wurtele over corrected and rolled multiple times before coming to a stop in a nearby field.
Three passengers, Kaden Romo and two juveniles, were also in the car.
Two of the passengers were ejected from the car, while all four occupants suffered serious injuries, according to law enforcement.
Three people were transported to the Community Medical Center in Falls City.
The other victim was taken to Amberwell Hospital in Hiawatha, Kansas, 17 miles south of Falls City.
All four occupants are still in serious, but stable, condition and have been transported to other medical facilities, according to the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement said seat belts were not used by anyone in the car, but speeding, alcohol or drugs were not found to be a factor.
