Round #2 of fall-like weather on Tuesday
After a taste of fall on Monday, we’ll see round #2 on Tuesday. In fact, Tuesday is shaping up to be an even nicer day since the wind will not be a factor. With less wind, low humidity, and lots of sunshine, we just about check off all of the boxes for what comprises a top-notch forecast.
Although it will be cool in the morning, temperatures top out in the low to mid-80s during the afternoon.
The heat returns on Wednesday, with high temperatures climbing into the lower and middle-90s. It may be a touch humid at times. However, a cold front will be approaching and it arrives on Wednesday night.
The front will not be strong enough to trigger any showers or storms, but it will be enough to drop temperatures for Thursday. That reduction in temperatures will be very short-lived.
Starting Friday, there’s nothing stopping our warming trend. A strong upper-level high will overspread the region, producing a widespread area of sinking air. As this air descends, it will compress and heat up.
We look like we’ll be flirting with record highs over the weekend. Our forecast high of 100° on Saturday would tie with the record of 100° (1921, 1947, 1962). The record high on Sunday is 102° (1913, 1936), and our forecast of 101° comes awfully close.
