LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska high school football season kicked into high gear Friday night with games across the state.

Lincoln Lutheran 34, Lincoln Christian 12: In Channel 8’s Game of the Week, the Warriors vanquished their rivals to take back the Spirit Sword, with new quarterback Henry Prokop leading the way.

Lincoln North Star 14, Lincoln Southwest 10: The Navigators struggled to get on the board early, but they came from behind for the win.

Waverly 21, Bennington 19: The Vikings survived a close call, overcoming a couple big plays by the Badgers.
