Rural Lancaster County crews battle grass fire east of Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A motor home was damaged last week in a grass fire east of Lincoln, Southeast Fire & Rescue Department said Monday.

Crews were sent to the fire near 102nd Street and Benton Roads on Tuesday.

Thanks to a quick response, crews were able to limit the spread of the fire despite wind gusts of 30 mph, the fire department said in a Facebook post.

A motor home, trailers and construction materials were damaged in the fire, according to the fire department.

The extent of the damage is unknown.
