Salmonella outbreak impacts Nebraskans

A strain of salmonella that’s resistant to multiple antibiotics is making people ill in dozens of states, including Nebraska.

The Center for Disease Control said at least 92 people in 29 states were infected with the strain.

The cause is believed to be several different raw chick products, but no supplier has been named yet.

WebMD says salmonella, a bacteria, is one of the most common causes of food poisoning in the U.S.

Some of the symptoms include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
