Santa Claus makes annual visit to Bryan Health NICU
"The last couple of years were hard for a lot of people. So it’s fantastic to be out again and see these babies and their families," said Santa Claus.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Santa Claus spread holiday cheer to families and patients at the Bryan Health NICU.
“The last couple of years were hard for a lot of people. So it’s fantastic to be out again and see these babies and their families,” said Santa Claus.
During his annual visit, Santa met over 20 patients and their families while at the NICU. Bryan health says babies may stay in the NICU for weeks or months at a time, with families spending time away from one another.
Santa’s visit to the NICU helped some families experience some holiday joy during their stay. Santa made a visit to Zelee Martin and her mom, Brin from Palisade, Neb., who has spent the last month in the NICU.
“We took a lot of pictures to send to grandparents, aunts and uncles. It’s a memory we’ll always look back on and realize how special it was,” said Martin.
