Partly sunny skies this afternoon for southeast Nebraska with highs today in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Cloud cover will increase heading into the evening ahead of chances for showers on Sunday.

Pleasant football weather for the Capital City outside of a strong breeze out of the southeast.

Stormcast shows showers and thunderstorms entering the panhandle Saturday night. Those storms progress towards northeast Nebraska early on Sunday morning. Better chances for scattered showers for southeast Nebraska come during the day on Sunday.

Low temperatures tonight continue to be on the warmer side in the lower and middle 60s.

Low 60s in the Capital City this evening with partly cloudy skies. Breezy overnight with winds out of the south-southeast between 15 and 20 miles per hour, gusting to 30.

Strong winds continue on Sunday with a very warm October day ahead for southeast Nebraska.

Outside of scattered chances for showers, we will see partly sunny skies in Lincoln. Our highs will reach the upper 80s on Sunday, but we will stay well short of the record high for the day (93 degrees set back in 1975).

While Sunday’s temperatures will be far from fall-like, several fall milestone days continue to sneak up on us!

A more active weather pattern will put an end to the upper 80s by Monday, with highs returning briefly to the 60s. Chances for showers and an occasional thunderstorm stick around for the majority of the upcoming work week. High temperatures climb back into the 70s before another cool down lies ahead next weekend.
