School bus driver ticketed in crash at Bellevue intersection

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A school bus driver was cited Monday morning in a crash in Bellevue, police say.

The crash happened around 7:10 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 370 and 36th Street.

Police said a Bellevue Public Schools bus hit a Ford Ranger at the intersection.  No students were on the bus at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Ford, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The bus driver, a 47-year-old man, was cited for failing to yield to the right-of-way.
