Scottsbluff officer-involved shooting investigation underway

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KLKN) — On Monday, June 7th law enforcement officials were called to a Western Scottsbluff home for a welfare check.
Just before 5:30 pm officers entered the home to find 47-year-old Daniel Ojeda.
Ojeda was shot and pronounced dead a short time later at a local hospital. It is unclear why a weapon was discharged at this time.
The Scotts Bluff County Attorney has since asked that the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office conduct a grand jury investigation, as required in any officer-involved shootings.
