Scouting 4 Trees: Boy Scouts hosting curbside Christmas tree pick-up service in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Boy Scout Troop 8 is hosting the 10th annual Christmas Tree Pick-Up Drive in the Lincoln area.

Starting Thursday, Lincolnites will be able to leave their Christmas trees on the curb and have Troop 8 pick them up, free of cost.

Scouts and adult volunteers will collect trees from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., except Sundays, which will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Tree pick-up dates are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with the service resuming on January 1, 4, 5 and 11.

Those interested in the service need to make a reservation 24 hours in advance by going to www.scouting4trees.org or by calling (402) 965-1458.
