Second driver arrested for third-offense DUI in Lancaster County this week, deputy says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — For the second time this week, authorities say a man was arrested in Lancaster County for a third DUI.
The sheriff’s office reports that around 2 a.m., a deputy found vehicle with flat tires stopped in the middle of an intersection in southeast Lancaster County.
Benjamin Pavlovic was inside the vehicle at 70th Street and Rokeby Road, according to the sheriff’s office.
The 30-year-old from Lincoln originally claimed that the real driver ran off, authorities said.
But authorities determined that he was behind the wheel all along, and Pavlovic was given a breath test.
He had a blood alcohol content level of 0.208%, Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said.

Pavlovic’s vehicle also sustained heavy damage, but he told deputies that he wasn’t sure what happened.
Deputies are searching the area to see if he hit anything.
On Sunday, a man was pulled over west of Lincoln and arrested on suspicion of third-offense DUI.
Deputies said his BAC was 0.34%.
The sheriff’s office is reminding everyone to call a ride service or a friend if you go out drinking.
Officials added that they’re relieved these intoxicated drivers were removed from our roads before anyone got hurt.
