Second garage fire caused by fireworks Wednesday

Fireworks reignited inside a garbage can causing a garage fire in rural Waverly Wednesday night. 

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said the resident of the home put a trashcan with burnt fireworks in it inside the garage. 

The fireworks reignited and caught a pick-up, garage door and other items on fire. 

The damage to the truck totaled $2,000.

Waverly Fire and Rescue responded.
