Second gunman sentenced in downtown Lincoln shooting that wounded four

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 21-year-old man was sentenced Friday for his role in a downtown Lincoln shooting in 2023.
Chudier Tut of Omaha got 15 to 20 years in prison for second-degree assault.
Three other counts of second-degree assault, plus one weapon charge, were dismissed under a plea deal.
With credit for a year already spent behind bars, Tut will be eligible for parole in seven years.

Tut was one of the four people firing shots near 14th and O streets early on Oct. 10, 2023, according to court documents.
An arrest affidavit says a confrontation between two groups happened outside Main Street Bar.
Officers found 41 spent shell casings, belonging to four different ammunition brands, according to police.
Four people were wounded in the shooting, but all survived. Multiple businesses were damaged.

One of the shooters, Teethloach Biel, was wearing an ankle monitor because he was on probation.
That allowed investigators to place him at the scene of the crime when it occurred.
Tut was captured on surveillance footage in the area, the affidavit says.
