LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Another man has been arrested in a series of armed robberies at north Lincoln auto parts stores last month.

The Lincoln Police Department said 47-year-old Rodney Ross of Lincoln was taken into custody Saturday in Jackson, Michigan.

Ross is currently behind bars in Michigan, while investigators are making arrangements for him to face charges in Lancaster County.

Police said Ross and 31-year-old Jamal Carr were involved in armed robberies at two O’Reilly Auto Parts stores last month.  Carr was arrested on Wednesday.

The first robbery happened on July 14 at the store near 84th and Adams streets.

Carr and Ross entered the store, and one of them pointed a shotgun at the employees, according to police.

The employees were then moved into an office, where they were forced to open a safe, police said.

Ten days later, Carr and Ross held an employee at gunpoint at O’Reilly Auto Parts near 48th and Holdrege streets.

On July 28, officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at the Family Dollar near 13th and High streets.

Police said the caller’s description of the two suspects matched those reports from the O’Reilly robberies.
