Second teen accused of assaulting, running over Lincoln woman caught

Lincoln Police say two juveniles suspected of assaulting and running over a woman in a north Lincoln neighborhood have been caught.
Emergency crews were called to a home near N 60th and and Saint Paul Avenue, about a block west of Northeast High School, around 10 a.m. Tuesday on reports of a possible robbery.
Authorities say the 60-year-old woman saw a vehicle driving recklessly through the neighborhood. Police say the woman yelled at the vehicle to slow down while recording them on her cellphone, and also threw a bag of dog poop at them.
The two juvenile males got out and confronted her, grabbing her cellphone. The victim reported being punched and that one of the juveniles pointed a gun at her and threatened her.
As the suspects left, the woman tried to retrieve her cellphone and was run over by their vehicle, police said. She was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.
Police said there was no evidence the teens had a gun.
LPD said one of the the teens was cited for robbery. The other was not cited. Both are being referred to the County Attorney’s office.
