Semi truck side-swiped while parked on shoulder of I-80

The Nebraska State Patrol says a semi truck driver suffered only minor injuries after his vehicle was struck by another semi along I-80.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday near Cozad.

NSP says the driver had pulled over to the shoulder because of a check engine light.

The other semi was passing and couldn’t move over far enough because of other traffic and side-swiped the parked truck.

NSP says bother drivers were wearing seat belts.

The driver of the parked semi was transported to the hospital in Cozad with minor injuries.

NSP says the other driver was uninjured.
