Sen. Sasse urged president to pick another Supreme Court Nominee

Sen. Ben Sasse said last night that he urged the president to nominate someone other than Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court earlier this year.

The Nebraska senator says the #MeToo Movement has had an impact on his thought process, and he wanted President Trump to nominate a woman, though he he wasn’t specific who he wanted nominated.

Sasse said, he had concerns about the Senate’s ability to handle any potential sexual harassment or assault claims before Kavanaugh’s nomination.
