Senator Ben Sasse speaks out on Hong Kong Elections

Pro-Democracy candidates won nearly half of the seats in Hong Kong’s local elections.

Voters sent a clear signal of support for anti-government protests, that have been going on for five months.

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) is speaking out on the elections, saying in part:

“The results are clear: Hong Kongers reject the Chinese Communist Party’s oppression and intimidation.”

The senator from Nebraska also emphasized support for Hong Kong Protesters.
