UPDATE: Lincoln Police identify victim of early morning fatal crash

UPDATE:  Lincoln Police identified the victim of the crash Friday morning. 

LPD says Stephen Hundley, 31, of Falls City was killed. 


Lincoln Police say one person has died and another is in serious condition but has non-life-threatening injuries, after a rollover accident on W. Fletcher Avenue between 13th and NW 20th St, that’s near Highland Golf Course.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue was called to the scene around 2:15 a.m. Friday, upon arrival they two men had been ejected.

One of those victims was pinned underneath the SUV, the other thrown from the vehicle.

The person pinned was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say he’s a 31-year-old male, no further information is being released about him at this point.

Investigators say it appears the crossed a median and hit the curb, flipping the vehicle, it then came to a rest on an embankment.

W. Fletcher between NW. 13th and NW 20th is expected to be closed throughout the morning, as police investigate the cause.
