UPDATE: Police identify driver and passenger in serious Lincoln crash

Lincoln Police identified the two people involved in a serious car crash that left them hospitalized Sunday night.

Lincoln Police and Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a call at approximately 9:39 pm about a car that had sped out, crossing a round-about median, and then struck a light pole.

Witnesses told police the car went straight over the median instead of around it, briefly going airborne before hitting the pole.

The two people involved, identified Monday morning as James Hottovy, 34, and April Dohmen, 30, both of Lincoln were transported with serious injuries. 

Police said Hottovy was ejected from the vehicle. 

He was in critical condition as of Monday morning.

Dohmen was transported in serious condition and is stable

Both people were taken to Bryan West Hospital for further observation.
