Settling in to more steady summer heat; storm chances continue
Summer temperatures are here to stay for a while into next week. We’ll be especially hot again this Saturday, with highs creeping toward the middle 90s.
Saturday temperatures could be above average for this point in June (middle 80s) by 9 degrees or so.
Storm chances will continue every single day into early next week. Most of us will be dry through the weekend until better, more organized forcing comes early next week for eastern Nebraska.
Each day of the next FIVE DAYS there is a risk for severe weather somewhere in Nebraska.

Friday’s severe threat is expected through western Nebraska. A Slight (Level 2 of 5) risk extends from the High Plains down toward western Nebraska with all severe weather hazards possible.

Scattered severe storms possible could also threaten some hail.
Damaging wind will be a potential hazard as well.
Here’s the latest timing from Stormcast of storms crossing into western Nebraska for Friday evening and night.
