Seven people injured in multi-vehicle crash in Hall County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several people were injured Thursday night in a multi-vehicle crash in Hall County.
The crash happened around 6:50 p.m. near Clarice Street and Highway 281 near Doniphan.
The sheriff’s office said a Cadillac tried turning onto Highway 281 and hit a southbound semitrailer.
The collision caused a “chain reaction” that led to “several” additional crashes, according to the sheriff’s office.
Seven people were taken to a hospital with injuries. One of them had life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators think weather conditions were a factor in the crash.
In addition, the sheriff’s office said a deputy’s patrol vehicle was hit while providing traffic control. The vehicle had “major damage,” but the deputy didn’t suffer any injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
