Several closures in Lincoln due to severe weather

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Due to severe weather on Wednesday, several Lincoln businesses have made the decision to close early or stay closed for the day.

Here is a list of every local business and whose hours have changed due to severe weather:

  • Lincoln Children’s Zoo – The Zoo made the decision to cancel Zoo Lights on Wednesday night. Tickets can be rescheduled based on availability.
  • Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium – Will close at 1:00 pm today, ticket sales will end at 1 p.m., and grounds and buildings will close at 2 pm.
  • Pioneers Park – The trails will be closed on Wednesday, they will reopen on Thursday.
  • The Center for People in Need – closed on Wednesday.
  • Lincoln Airport – Some flights are being canceled due to severe weather. Flights can be found here.
  • Immanuel Lutheran Church – Evening Advent Worship & Christ Academy is canceled for 12/15/21.
  • South Heartland COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic – Wednesday’s COVID-19 vaccine community clinic was canceled due to weather.  The Clinic is scheduled to take place from 5-7 pm at the west end of Allen’s building on 2nd Street in Hastings, it has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 16, 5-7 pm at the same location.
  • Durham Museum – Will close at 1:00 pm.
  • Aging Partners – The Aging Partners’ Holiday Dinner and Dance scheduled for 5:30 p.m., at Auld Pavilion has been postponed.
  • Hickman Presbyterian Church – The church has canceled all evening activities for Wednesday.
